Nokia Siemens Netowork (NSN) today announced that it has been selected by Uninor the JV between Unitech Wireless and Norway’s Telenor to roll out a new GSM network in 6 telecom circles of India. Earlier the NSN also get a contract from Uninor to deploy GPRS network for all 22 telecom circles.
The 2G based 2.75 GSM network rollout contract includes Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh telecom circles. The contract requires NSN to operate and maintain the network under its managed services offerings
